Ekaterina Fitzka

Ekaterina Fitzka is born in Moscow. She has been educated at the Ballet Academy Moscow and the Ballet Conservatory St. Pölten (Austria). Moreover she gained work experience at the Salzburg State Theater in Peter Breuer’s choreography »Vier Jahreszeiten«. Since 2003 she is a member of the Vienna State Ballet. Her large repertory comprises Giorgio Madia’s »Nudo« and »Alice@Wunderland«, »Max und Moritz« by Ferenc Barbay & Michael Kropf, Ben van Cauwenbergh’s »Tanzhommage an Queen«, Myriam Naisy’s »Mocca«, András Lukács’ »Tabula rasa« and »Bolero«, Gyula Harangozó’s »The Nutcracker«, Maurice Béjart’s »Le Concours«, Davide Bombana’s »Ballett: Carmen«, Vesna Orlić’s »Carmina Burana«, »Tausendundeine Nacht« and »Peter Pan«, Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker« as well as works by Martin Schläpfer. Furthermore, she has been dancing in several musicals, operettas and operas at the Volksoper Wien as well as operas in the Vienna State Opera. She created her own works in 2012 with »Elegia« and 2014 with »Miracle happens« for »Young Choreographers« of the Ballettclub Wiener Staatsoper & Volksoper.
