Suzan Sittig

Suzan Sittig was born in Paarl (South Africa).  She joined The Royal Ballet Lower School, White Lodge, at the age of 13 in 2007. After successfully graduating from the Lower School, she was accepted to the Upper School in Covent Garden in 2010. In 2012, she took part in the ‘Young British Dancer of the Year’ competition and was awarded the Dowell Sibley Award. As a Graduate student she danced with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet. After successfully graduating the Upper School, she joined the Vienna State Ballet in September 2013. Her repertoire comprises Arctic Fox in Michael Corder’s »The Snow Queen«, a bride in Pierre Lacotte’s »Coppélia« and parts in George Balanchine’s »Allegro Brillante«, »Jewels« (Diamonds), »Symphonie in C« and »Theme and Variations«, William Forsythe’s »Artifact Suite«, Kenneth MacMillanʼs »Concerto«, Rudolf Nureyev‘s »Don Quixote«, »The Nutcracker«, »Raymonda« and »Swan Lake«, Elena Tchernichovaʼs »Giselle«, John Neumeierʼs »Josephs Legende«, »Le Pavillon dʼArmide« and »Le Sacre«, Frederick Ashtonʼs »La Fille mal gardée«, Manuel Legrisʼ »Le Corsaire« and »Sylvia«, John Crankoʼs »Onegin«, Edward Clugʼs »Peer Gynt« and Jerome Robbins’ »The Four Seasons«.
