Just a few days before Christmas, the anticipation of the festivities mixes with the stress of preparations. Family and friends who may not have seen each other for a year finally meet again. Shared rituals with Christmas carols, tea and cookies await. But what is being cooked? Are all the presents ready? Will the family get-together be peaceful or tense? So that you can start the festive season in peace and quiet, we invite you to take a little time out in the balcony foyer of the Volksoper, where the Opera Studio has prepared a musical treat in advance. The members will present you with a selection of their favorite arias from opera and operetta and share personal stories about the traditions of their respective homelands. Because not everything is the same every year...
