Ballettwerkstatt: Les Sylphides

How does a dance maker find his movements? How does he communicate them to his dancers? How are historical works restaged? What are the thoughts behind a ballet? What role does the music play?

In the Ballettwerkstatt Les Sylphides, the choreographer Adi Hanan, Giovanni Di Palma, former dancer in Uwe Scholz’s Leipzig Ballet and today responsible for restaging the German choreographer’s works all over the world and conductor Ido Arad will talk with the dramaturges Anne do Paço und Nastasja Fischer about the works and the maintenance of dance heritage.

Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to get a first glimpse of the new programme in a public rehearsal with the dancers of the Vienna State Ballet and to watch the artists at work.
