Did you know that the Waltz King Johann Strauss was working on a fairy-tale ballet at the end of his life? And how did the idea arise to take the fragments of this unfinished work and create an entirely new piece from them? A work that defies genre boundaries and tells a timeless story across multiple eras. The story of Aschenbrödel … or is it Aschenputtel, or even Cinderella? And who is the girl in our story? Last but not least: what does it all sound like? Composer Martina Eisenreich, librettist and director Axel Ranisch, and dramaturg Peter te Nuyl will provide answers and insights in a soirée hosted by dramaturg Thomas Höft. In addition, members of the ensemble will present musical highlights!
