Today, Edvard Grieg’s music is often performed only in the concert hall. Morning Mood, Åse’s Death, Anitra’s Dance, In the Hall of the Mountain King, and Solveig’s Song are the parts best known from the suites. But this evening, we will hear almost the entire stage music that Grieg composed.

Three actors, two singers, the chorus, and the Orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper present a montage of Henrik Ibsen’s text and Grieg’s music, in which the piece condenses like a nightmare of Peer Gynt.

With Martina Dorak, Marco Di Sapia, Hannah Fheodoroff, Lauren Urquhart
