Ronja Räubertochter – Tree Talk with Hannah Severin and Eike Onyambu

Hannah: We're supposed to go up there? Don't you have anything more difficult? Who can do it better?!
Eike: Uh...Okay...Help, help...!
Hannah:  Hi, I'm Hannah Severin and I play Ronja Räubertochter in "Ronja Räubertochter".
Eike: And I'm Eike Onyambu and I play Birk Borkason.
Hannah: The enemy! At the beginning. As a child, I spent a lot of time outdoors in the woods. I always went for walks with my friends and we were constantly on the hunt for treasure.
And at some point, one of my friends said, "Hannah, I have the feeling you're just making all this up." And I was like, "Uh... yeah, so?"
Eike: It's called acting for a reason; it's not called being serious. As a child, you're allowed to do so much and let so much ou and affect you because emotions are simply much stronger and not yet so suppressed. The joy is so much greater, the emotion is so much greater.
Hannah: All the emotions, the anger, the disappointment, the sadness — everything just goes straight into the body, and that's why I think it's the most physically demanding show I've ever done. But it's so much fun because you can throw yourself into it with everything you've got.
Eike: It's about the development of enemies to friends. But it's also about breaking free from your parents' opinions and not letting them tell you what to do all the time.
Hannah: I think this story fits so well with this robber theme because it's simply about life and what it takes to survive. And it's also a bit about this moral question "What does it mean to be a robber?" And it's funny because it's so wild and so raw... and that's just a lot of fun.
