Ronja Räubertochter – Short introduction with Hannah Severin
Hello, I'm Hannah and I play Ronja Räubertochter in the new family production at the Volksoper.
Are you familiar with Astrid Lindgren's famous book? If so, then I'm sure you're already looking Forward to our musical theater adventure. If not, let me tell you briefly what it's about.
It all begins the night Ronja is born; a lightning bolt splits the mighty Mattis Castle in two. Ronja grows up in one half with her parents, Lovis and Mattism and a wild band of robbers.
To her great horror, the Borka's robbers, move into the other half. They have been enemies to Mattis' robbers for ages. But one day, Ronja unexpectedly befriends Birk, the son of their arch-enemy, Borka.
And because their parents are against this friendship, the two children hide in the forest, where they experience a summer full of adventures and encounter wondrous forest creatures like Wild Harpies, Gray Dwarves
and Rumphobgoblins. We'll tell you how their story ends on stage.
It's an imaginative piece about friendship, reconciliation, and the power of nature. We're really looking forward to seeing you!
