Hi, are you also watching "Ronja Räubertochter"?
In this video, I'll tell you who's who.
This is Ronja. She lives in Mattis's Castle, right in the middle of Mattis's Forest.
It's called that because her father, Mattis, is the chief robber and the most powerful one of all.
Her mother, Lovis, is very clever and doesn't let anyone fool her, not even the other robbers in her band.
Glatzen-Per is the oldest robber and is especially wise. He knows all the secrets of Mattis's Forest.
Ronja loves the forest, even though Mattis has warned her about the countless dangers.
For example, the eerie Gray Dwarves, the bloodthirsty Wild Harpies and the alluring undergrounds creatures.
There are also the Rumphogoblins, but luckily they're usually quite funny and harmless.
Not so the deep Hell's Gap, which was created during the violent thunderstorm when Ronja was born and split Mattis's Castle in two.
But the worst of all are the Borka robbers, as Mattis always emphasizes. They've been their arch-enemies for ages!
When they secretly move into the other side of Mattis's castle, Ronja meets Birk, the son of the rival Borka and his wife Undis.
As time goes on, Ronja begins to wonder if her father Mattis is always right.
Are all the Borka robbers really evil?
Is it even right to live as a robber and take things from other people?
And what does it mean to grow up and make your own decisions?
You'll find out all this and much more in "Ronja Räubertochter." See you there!
