Alice McArthur
Alice McArthur began her dance training in New Zealand, later continuing her studies at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. She danced Venus in La nascita di Venere by Emanuele Babici and choreographed a group piece, Present in Absence, for the graduation performance.
In the 2022/23 season, she performed in works by Edward Clug, John Cranko and John Neumeier with the Stuttgart Ballet. She was subsequently engaged by the Paris Opera Ballet to dance in Rudolf Nureyevʼs production of The Nutcracker. In 2024, she joined the Australian Ballet as a corps de ballet dancer. There, she performed in pieces by George Balanchine, Harald Lander, John Neumeier, Kenneth MacMillan, Christopher Wheeldon and Peter Wright.
She also featured in the 2025 Ballet International Gala (BIG VI) throughout Australia, performing the grand pas de deux from Le Corsaire with Daniil Simkin and Act II pas de deux from Giselle with Adamzhan Bahtiyar.
Alice McArthur will join the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet in the 2025/26 season.
