Robert Reimer
In 2021 Robert Reimer debuted successfully at Vienna State Opera conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with Music by D. Schostakowitsch (15th Symphony) and I. Stravinsky (Symphony in 3 movements) for a ballet premiere. Since then he has been back at Vienna State Opera every season with „Onegin“, „Swan Lake“ and „Don Quixote“. His 5th production there is „Sleeping Beauty“, which started in December 2024.
Robert Reimer made his conducting debut with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022 and a french program contributing to César Francks 200th birthday in 2022 with music including his d-minor Symphony and the symphonic poem „Le chasseur maudit“, plus the viola concerto by Bela Bartok. The concert has been recorded.
In recent years Robert Reimer has made his successful debut at major opera houses such as the Bavarian State Opera (which invited him again for the next two seasons), the Berlin State Opera, the Deutsche Oper Berlin (with his own premiere every year since 2011), the Geneve Opera, the Royal Copenhagen Opera, the Finnish National Opera, the Liceu Barcelona, the Copenhagen Opera Festival, or the Stuttgart State Opera. He conducted operas such as “Tristan and Isolde”, “Manon”, “Freischütz”, “Eugen Onegin”, the “Magic Flute” or “Katja Kabánova”, or ballets such as "Peer Gynt", “Nutcracker”, “Swan Lake”, “Sleeping Beauty”, "Jewels", “Bayadère“, or "Don Quixote".
Robert Reimer is also in demand internationally as a concert conductor, he has been invited by important orchestras like the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the HR Symphony Orchestra, the German Radio Philharmonic, the City Chamber Orchestra Hong Kong, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Tonkünstler Orchestra Niederösterreich, the Basel Sinfonietta, the Copenhagen Philharmonic, the German State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Royal Chapel Copenhagen, the Copenhagen Phil and the Janacek Philharmonic Ostrava.
Robert Reimer has been on television every year since 2014, both nationally and internationally. Examples include the big „Final Concert“ of the Copenhagen Opera Festival with the Malmö Opera Orchestra (2014 + 2015), which was broadcast live on the Danish television DRK, as well as the First Night of the Classic Open Air Berlin (2014-2018) and the Elbland Festival (2015-2019), which were broadcasted by Radio Brandenburg Berlin RBB. In addition, performances of him from the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Geneva Opera were broadcast live on the French cultural broadcaster Mezzo-TV and on the Italian classic broadcaster Mondo Classica.
Robert Reimer conducted in 2018 the world premiere of F. Ledroit's “St. John Passion“ in the Ludwigshafen Philharmonic with the European Chamber Choir, the German State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate and international soloists. This St. John Passion is available on CD at French label Skarbo since 2019. In 2022 he conducted the creation of „Sophie Charlotte“, an opera by Torsten Harder. Before that a "Tristan and Isolde" CD from a concert version with Janacek Philharmonic and international artists at Penedrecki Centre of Music in Poland was published at Navona Records.
