Géraud Wielick

Géraud Wielick was born in Liège (Belgium). He trained at the Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen and at the San Francisco Ballet School. In 2012 he joined the Wiener Staatsballett, in 2016 he was promoted to demi-soloist.
His repertoire comprises Colas in Frederick Ashton’s »La Fille mal gardée«, Friend of the Prince and Hungarian Dancer (soloist) in Rudolf Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, Puck and Flaut/Thisbe in Jorma Elo’s »A Midsummer Night's Dream«, Joseph in John Neumeier's »Josephs Legende«, the Fate in Patrick de Bana’s »Marie Antoinette«, Reindeer in Michael Corder’s »The Snow Queen«, Zephir in Jerome Robbins’ »The Four Seasons«, the Teacher in Eno Peci’s »Petrushka«, title role in Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s »The Firebird«, Eros in Manuel Legris’ »Sylvia« and Lanquedem in Legris’ »Le Corsaire«. Furthermore, he danced parts in John Neumeier’s »Verklungene Feste«, »Le Pavillon d’Armide« and »Le Sacre«,  Thierry Malandain’s »Mozart à 2«, Stephan Thoss’ »Blaubarts Geheimnis« (excerpt), Jiří Bubeníček’s »Le Souffle de l’esprit«, Patrick de Bana’s »Windspiele« and »Creatures«, Alexander Ekman’s »Cacti«, Edwaard Liang’s »Murmuration«, George Balanchine’s »Tarantella«, »Symphony in C« and soloist in »Rubies« from »Jewels«, Boris Eifman’s »Giselle Rouge«, András Lukács’ »Movements to Stravinsky«, Kenneth MacMillan’s »Concerto«, Hans van Manen’s »Solo« and »Four Schumann Pieces«, William Forsythe’s »Artifact Suite«, Jiří Kylián’s »Symphony of Psalms«, Wayne McGregor’s »EDEN|EDEN«, Nacho Duato's »White Darkness«, Lucinda Childs' »Concerto«, Paul Taylor's »Promethean Fire« and in works by Martin Schläpfer such as one of the four princes in »The Sleeping Beauty«.
