The Italian Giorgio Fourés was born in Vienna and studied at the ballet school of the Paris Opera. He completed his education in courses at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp, the San Francisco Ballet School, Architanz in Tokyo as well as in master classes of Gil Isoart, Nicolas Le Riche and Attilio Labis. In 2016 he joined the Ballet de lʼOpéra de Paris, where he danced a wide repertoire including classical and neo-classical ballets such as Don Quichotte, La Bayadère, Giselle and Roland Petit's Carmen, but also in contemporary works such as Pina Bausch's The Rite of Spring, Ohad Naharin's Decadance, Alexei Ratmansky's Flammes de Paris or Claude Brumachon's Les Indomptés and in new creations of Mats Ek's Boléro, Crystal Pite's The Seasons’ Canon and Pontus Lidberg's Les Noces. Guest appearances in various ballet galas took him through Europe, to South America and Asia.
Since 2022/23 he has been a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. In the 2023/24 season, he was appointed demi-soloist. With the role of the Bluebird in Martin Schläpfer's The Sleeping Beauty, he soon attracted attention with a demanding solo role. This was followed by Alain in Frederick Ashton's La Fille mal gardée, a »gipsy« in Rudolf Nureyev’s Don Quixote and solo roles in Martin Schläpfer's Marsch, Walzer, Polka and Lontano, Heinz Spoerliʼs Goldberg Variations and Alexei Ratmanskyʼs 24 Préludes.
