Ariel Daley
The American-Japanese ballet dancer Ariel Daley has received a comprehensive and multicultural dance education. Her early ballet training took place time at Kuramoto Seiko Ballet School and the Kozlova Ballet School in Japan. During her early training years, she participated in American Ballet Theater’s summer intensives from 2016 to 2020 as a national training scholar. In 2020, she was a semi-finalist in the Prix de Lausanne competition. She received her scholarship to the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where she graduated in 2023.
Throughout her education, she gained significant stage experience performing in productions at La Scala Opera House, including The Nutcracker as the Snow Queen and Serenade by George Balanchine.
From 2023 to 2025 Ariel Daley was a member of the Youth Company of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera with which she danced the role of the cat in Martin Schläpfer’s Peter and the Wolf. She has also danced in several productions of the Vienna State Ballet such as Rudolf Nureyevʼs Swan Lake, Pierre Lacotteʼs Coppélia, Elena Tschernischovaʼs Giselle as well as George Balanchine’s Symphony in C and Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet. She has also performed in televised productions, such as Bolle Danza Con Me, alongside renowned dancers like Roberto Bolle, Fumi Kaneko and Svetlana Zakharova.
From the 2025/26 season, Ariel Daley will be a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet (maternity leave replacement).
