We’re leaving for Summer Break – and we hope you are, too!
The time has come: we're taking a summer break, and we hope you are too! We'll kick off the new season with a big Die Fledermaus Sing-Along. We wish you a relaxing summer and look forward to seeing you again in the autumn. Tickets for September are already on sale.
What’s on in Autumn?
On 20 September, the world premiere of Ronja Räubertocher (Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter) brings a great adventure for the whole family to the Volksoper stage. Based on Astrid Lindgren’s timeless story about friendship, tolerance, and the courage to follow one’s own path, the production tells the tale of Ronja and Birk, who form a bond despite the long-standing feud between their families. For the Volksoper, Stephan Lack has created a new stage adaptation, while Kyrre Kvam has composed a score filled with Nordic sounds and memorable melodies. The production is directed by Ruth Brauer-Kvam, and tickets are already available.
The September programme is complemented by popular productions such as Die Zauberflöte, West Side Story, Der Zarewitsch and La bohème.
With so much to look forward to, you’ll breeze through the summer months in no time.
