What was your musical ‘awakening experience’?

As a child, my parents' record collection had a big influence on me. It ranged from the Beatles and Beethoven's 5th Symphony to Arik Brauer and Manhattan Transfer. My most recent awakening experiences were a concert by Jacob Collier and an evening with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by John Williams.

Which three productions do you particularly appreciate?

Blue Moon - Eine Hommage an Billie Holiday, Jersey Boys and The Big Bronski Christmas Show.

Which moment or phase in the entire production process (from learning a score to performing) do you like best?

That totally depends on the play and the people involved... :) The most exciting part is actually the journey from the initial ideas in your head, which then develop into arrangements, to the final rehearsals, where all the departments (sound, lighting, performers and musicians, technology, costumes, make-up, props) come together and work together to create a great theatre experience.

I have had the privilege of working with a number of very inspiring and talented artists. One example I would like to mention is the director Werner Sobotka, who opened the doors to musical theatre for me (including at the Theater i.d. Josefstadt), which had a decisive influence on both my professional and private life.
