All discounts are based on the full price ticket, and cannot be combined with any other offer.
75% discount for children and young people up to their 15th birthday (maximum of three children accompanied by one adult).

With the Family Pass, two adults and at least one child aged under 18 can attend performances at specially reduced rates:
- the first adult pays the full price,
- the second gets a 50% discount,
- the first child gets a children’s ticket with 75% discount,
- and the second child pays just € 1 for their ticket.
- From the third child onwards, the 75% reduction applies.
The Family Pass is available for € 25 per season at daytime box offices and on the internet.
From the 2023/24 season, the family pass will be available for € 30.
The Family Pass is not valid for the New Year's Eve evening performance.
Tickets for school groups can be obtained by written order up to three weeks before the performance date at a price of € 15 per ticket for prices A, B, D and € 12 for price C.
A ticket quota is available for all performances in price categories II to IV. In category V, tickets for school groups can be purchased in unlimited numbers, subject to availability.
For groups of 15 schoolchildren and above, one ticket is provided free of charge for an accompanying person. There is no cloakroom fee for school groups.

For purchases of 20 tickets or more, a reduced price ticket of € 15 (prices A, B and D) or € 12 (price C) is available on request for one accompanying person.

For any performances that are not sold out, remaining tickets are available at the evening box office twenty minutes before the start of the performance at the reduced price of € 12 (prices A, B and D), € 10 (price C) and € 6 (price V).
From the 2023/24 season: € 15 (prices A, B and D), € 12 (price C) and € 6 (price V).

For everyone up to their 30th birthday: tickets at a cost of € 15,- are available in advance for special performances and at the evening box office for all performances that are not sold out.

Holders of a BundestheaterCard receive a 50% discount on remaining tickets from 1 hour before the performance at the evening box office.

As an Ö1 Club member, you receive a 10% discount on tickets purchased at the advance ticket sales offices or at the evening box office. A maximum of 2 tickets can be purchased per Ö1 Club card per performance.

Wheelchair seats can be purchased from € 4 at the box office or pre-booked at least 10 days before the performance.
The Volksoper has two permanently installed wheelchair seats, each with an adjoining seat for a companion. These are located on the right and left of row 19 in the stalls. Depending on demand, we can provide up to 15 wheelchair seats per performance. Please note that only one companion seat can be purchased per wheelchair seat.
The two permanently installed seats including companion seats can be reserved in writing or by telephoning +43/1/514 44-3666 (Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm) and can also be purchased in advance sales at the box offices. The additional wheelchair seats can be provided in this way (please let us know not later than 10 days before the performance).
Wheelchair users can get themselves registered on the Internet for the purchase of seats. Further information can be obtained by telephoning +43/1/514 44-3670.
For technical reasons, it is unfortunately not possible at present to purchase wheelchair seats by telephone using a credit card. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Upon presentation of their disabled person’s card, disabled persons receive a 50% discount at all Bundestheater Box Offices and the evening box office from the start of advanced sale.
This discount is not available for external events and special events.
A discount for an accompanying person can only be provided if reference to an accompanying person is made on the disabled person’s card.

15% discount on full price tickets for all ballet performances at the Vienna State Opera and Vienna Volksoper (excluding premieres and special events).
2 tickets per performance (from all available categories). Tickets can be purchased in advance and at the evening box office.
The Ballet Bonus is available for € 25 per season at all Bundestheater box offices. (From season 2023/24: € 30)
For holders of the ”Kulturpass”, a total of 4 free tickets are available per performance, subject to availability. Tickets are available at the box office half an hour before the performance on presentation of your ”Kulturpass”. Only one ticket per person can be issued.
